AGROINDUSTRIAS AMAZONICAS CROPS
In 2000, in a continuation of our Omega Project we planted the first commercial crop of Plukenetia volubilis Linneo – sacha inchi in the world in San Martin, a fertile region of the Peruvian Amazon.
INITIAL PLANT NURSERY
FIRST CROP WITH SUPPORTS AND WIRE
FIRST SACHA INCHI AGROFORESTRY CROP
Agroindustrias Amazónicas, as a world pioneer in the development of sacha inchi, cultivates its own crops on its land in San Martín, in the northern Amazon region of Peru, where research on sacha inchi began in 1980
AGROINDUSTRIAS AMAZONICAS ESTATE IN YACUCATINA
Thanks to continual research, in 2018 the world’s most advanced farming technologies developed by the company were employed, resulting in a production per hectare three times that achieved by traditional methods, enabling Agroindustrias Amazónicas to guarantee high production and supply at good prices.
TRADITIONAL PRODUCTION OF ONE TO FIVE FRUIT PER FLOWER
EFFICIENT PRODUCTION OF FIFTEEN OR MORE FRUIT PER FLOWER
Inca Inchi cultivation starts in the plant nursery with rigorous seed selection and the most advanced cultivation medium developed by Agroindustrias Amazonicas to ensure development and a high yield from the plants.
Our Yacucatina crops in San Martin, very close to our factory, have the highest production per hectare per year worldwide. They give us the supply of raw materials to have a sustained production capacity in quality and availability of products.
THE CROP IS HARVESTED EIGHT MONTHS AFTER PLANTING IN THE NURSERY AND IS CARRIED ON THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
